Ms Diane Ellis
Sponsorship Director, Reggae Marathon and Director , Running Events JA

Diane Ellis is a name synonymous with the annual world-renowned Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K event, now in its 23rd year.

As the Sponsorship and Marketing Director, as well as Administrator of the event, she has worked tirelessly, since the second staging, alongside Race Director Alfred ‘Frano’ Francis, as well as the founders and organizers of the event – the Jamdammers Running Club of Kingston – and an extraordinary team of volunteers, to establish it as a benchmark for marathon and long-distance events locally and internationally.

The event has been named among the top ten marathons in the world, with thousands of participants from more than 40 countries.
Prior to joining the Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K team, Diane worked with the Jamaica Tourist Board as a Public Relations Officer and Writer, as well as Manager of the Bob Marley-founded Tuff Gong Studios.  Her experience in both the tourism and entertainment sectors has, therefore, benefitted the planning, program content - with great emphasis on Reggae music - and execution of the annual event, held each year in Negril.
Diane is also a Director of Running Events, also founded by Alfred ‘Frano’ Francis, which organizes and stages all major road races in Jamaica each year.
