Dr Chanelle Fingal-Robinson
Social Development Specialist at the World Bank

Chanelle Fingal-Robinson is a social development and sustainability specialist, who has a passion for doing meaningful work. She holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in Geography from the University of the West Indies, Mona campus and has extensive experience working on projects throughout the Caribbean region. Dr. Fingal-Robinson currently works as a Social Development Specialist at the World Bank, where she provides policy advice to governments and other regional and national organisations on how to sustainably implement multi-sectoral development initiatives. Prior to this, she spearheaded the social management of the 2017 capital dredging of the ship’s access channel in the Kingston Harbour as well as designed and led the implementation of the Port of Kingston’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme. In addition to sustainability, Dr. Fingal-Robinson also has experience in research design and execution. Furthermore, she has collaborated with other professionals to produce, amongst other things, environmental and social impact assessments, situational analyses and project completion reports.
